I'm a biology major and I'm taking chem 118b for the second time and I don't think I'll be able to pass. Again. What should I do? I really enjoy my major and all the other classes are easy for me, even physics. I've just always struggled with chemistry and I'm already a junior so I don't know if I have the time to switch to another major and still be able to graduate. Is there another major that requires the same classes (bis2abc, mat17abc, phy7abc) but not ochem? I would have to repeat chem 118b for the 3rd time since many classes require it as a prereq. How do I go about doing that?

The course designations don’t mean much to anyone else if you don’t identify the university. Much better to provide the course titles.

You might want to look into psychology which should be relatively easy to transfer into and complete in the time you have left. Anything else more STEM related (physics, mathematics, mechanical or electrical engineering) would require more mathematics and take you an extra year at least.

Hi! Sorry I’m at UC Davis. The math that I took is directed at biological sciences majors and I checked the major requirements for psychology and there are some classes that it says I should have taken freshman year.

I suggest you go speak to an academic advisr to see what your options might be. They can tell you which courses can be substituted for.
