Does anyone know how the atmosphere and student quality is at Fairfiled University?

it has a solid academic reputation, and is a nice part of CT. i know a few people who went there who went to top grad schools.

I live in Fairfield County and allthough alot of towns are some of the nicest and wealthiest towns in the country, alot of kids here are stuck up brats who will never have to work for anything in their lives and come to our town (which is no where near as wealthy as theirs) and start trouble with people like fights and spraypainting things like "welfare high school" on our school. The rich kids do hardcore drugs like coke and speed and get arrested frequently. If any of your kids go to FU which I hear is a great school, advise them to stay away from those crowds because they will get you in alot of trouble.

From what I hear Fairfield is quite a wealthy town and other towns in Fairfield County are some of the wealthiest in the country. Jlime what town do you live in?

Yeah that is the generalization and for the most part it is true. I live in Norwalk which is definetly nowhere near as nice as the other towns and does have a lot of problems with crime rate (avg of 1 homocide a month) and is pretty much low income. It is also mostly minorities unlike towns like Greenwhich and New Cannan whis is 95% white. Another town like that is Bridgeport. Its too bad that all of the movies and books that take place in Fairfield County have yet to show these parts of FC.

How are the activities and "college feel"?
