Omg this exact thing happened to me today! I was at the albertsons right by ucsb and they took it away. What ended up happening with you? Did they ever do anything? Did you ever hear anything from them? I’m freaking out!!!

I’m happy he took your ID. Be more responsible next time or just ask someone who is legal to buy it for you.

Fake IDs are easy to spot. I work as a bartender and I can easily tell if it’s fake. Real CA IDs have holograms on them and minors photos are on the right, there should be in red print “21 at blah/blah/blah”. Minors usually have ghost photos (for most states) and the heading should say a specific thing. It should have stuff on the back as well. And some other things. And you can usually tell they’re a minor since they look nervous as hell.

All in all, they’re easy to spot if you don’t know what you’re supposed to be looking for.

21+ people are TRAINED to spot these and doing **** like this can make people lose their jobs or have their alcohol license taken away. Be more responsible plz.

They usually don’t do anything BTW the first time. They just tell you to leave and they take your ID. Just so you know, California IDs have A LOT of crap on them–some use out-of-state IDs, but we books with what other state IDs are supposed to look like.

Tricky.

Oh my god ‘theleakers’! Chill out please, why do you think a 20 year old will be a violent irresponsible drunk but a 21 year old will be safe? He’s already said don’t lecture him he just needs advice on punishment so stop. You’ll be fine dude, he’s just confiscated it to stop you using it again. Drinking Laws are pretty different in England where I’m from, you’d never get in trouble for that unless you did it loads of times, me and my friends were drinking in bars at 15 quite easily.

As a matter of fact, the Rite Aid in the same plaza as Albertsons (I believe it is now a furniture store) was closed down by corporate because they had their liquor license revoked due to multiple violations of underage purchasing. You can bet that any store in that area will be really careful about checking IDs.

@theleakers you have to be one of the most annoying posters on this forum I have ever seen, ur information is totally inaccurate and you act like you’re in a 7th grade DARE classroom.

I used to work at albertsons and got make fake taken away at another albertsons, you’ll be fine. They usually just throw the fake IDs away, and worse case scenario you’d get a ticket equivalent to an MIP (which the DA will sometimes dismiss, that has happened to me)

leakers is such a ■■■■■.

Albertson’s turns in all fake id’s to the DMV. It takes the DMV about a year or more to track you down. If a real name was used and anything on the id was falsified, ie date of birth, picture and the correct address was used, they will notify you and your license will be suspended. People have been notified up to 3 years later. It doesn’t matter if the police were in any way involved or not.
