Fall '10 transfer chances

Hey y'all I was wondering if you could just take a second to chance me real quick for Fall 2010:

Applying to the College of Education as an exercise science major. COLA second choice.
3.06 GPA on 47 hours, hoping to raise it to a 3.25 or so after the spring.
All transferable course work completed.
Several exercise related EC's.

I know my GPA is a little low, but what do you guys think?

Haha… uh… :[ Sorry, but I don’t think you’ll get in… I’m already worried about getting in with a 3.7-3.8 to COLA… haha. But I say still apply, you’ll never know. My friend miraculously got into USC with a 3.2 gpa.

There’s always a fluke that gets in (you’re not a fluke, per se, but you never know)

Yikes. Your GPA is low. But education is known to be an easier school to get into. Not too great of a chance, but it can’t hurt to try.

Although you plan on raising your GPA, since you already have 47 hours, they will make a decision based on your current GPA.

I suggest your do the optional essay and get some badass letters of rec

Do anything you can to accent your experience/ambition/positive qualities

What does your resume look like? Also, are you currently employed?

I think my resume is pretty strong. I’ve done lots of community service and in high school I was an athletic trainer for a year and also participated in a year long independent research project class, which I had to apply and be hand picked for. I’m not employed right now because I am takin 16 hours and just don’t have the time, but I have had a job since I graduated in '07.

I haven’t ever sent in letters of rec before, who are the best people to get to write them?

your GPA is on the low side. I second what others said.

What’s the average admittance GPA for OOS applying to COLA?
