Why won’t NU publish Fall 17 tuition, even if estimated; was told to call financial services and a bit reluctant to speak. How do parents - even if you really want NU - of admitted students decide if they won’t publish until June - do they give any guarantee the estimate won’t change much? Every other school on our list has rates published for Fall 17.
I have no idea what the holdup is here, but in general, expect a 2-3% increase from '16. That’s been the rate for past years.
Using 2.5%, that’s a COA of about $64,250.
2017-2018 Tuition announced. 54,200 freshman applications.

So, almost a 4% increase. Ouch. I guess that clears up the question of why they waited so long to announce.
If anyone else is looking for COA numbers, last year’s full-pay COA from the net price calculator, plus the 3.9% increase, comes out to $68,058 for 2016-17. (That’s based on a hypothetical full-pay California student, so numbers for a local student might be slightly lower if the calculator is basing transportation costs on distance.)
