i doubt anyone here cares about wharton
and ur going pass the line between possible and impossible

I know :)

It was a more of a reminder to all Haas hopefuls that if you think Haas is tough, try thinking about Wharton.

u just worry about wharton
we people on the west coast would just worry about stuff here
i dun think its even a reminder
oh yeh
i would rather attend UCR business admin than wharton
thats a reminder to u that i don't care

Wow... this thread has grown. Will be making responses later tonight.

Regarding GPA, I suspect the average GPA will stay around the same, if not a bit higher. But GPA is only 1/2 of it. Haas rejects 4.0 students all the time, and I have heard of 3.6 GPA students getting it. They really want to see leadership in your essays and resume!!! Don't forget about that! You can have the grades, but if you do not have the other half, say goodbye

gpa 50% essays 35% resume 15%
i really wonder which essays do they focus on. the UC prompt or the supplimentary
my first essay was the standard why i choose this major. did a pretty good job.
2nd essay about leadership experiences. 3rd essay i chose the diverse essay.
i think my supplementary essay was the best but i wonder which has more weight
or any weight at all

Guardiangel: There will be 95 admitted to Haas this year.

-dekscholar

How do you know about this number?

One of the admissions officers told me, although it's not supposed to be common knowledge yet.

hmm... approx 4 days 18 hours left...
anyone feeling the heat?
isn't 95 less than last year?
more applicants less acceptances? =/ trying to be mean aye

I think they accepted 96 last year?

I'm definitely feeling the heat.

Goodluck guys. Please keep us updated!

Wow, I will be in your shoes 1 year from now!

lol, rejected shoe or accepted one ?
I am relaxing. BTW, anyone know what is the exact time for the decision to be release? evening =12 am ? or 6:00 pm ?

I was told it would be late afternoon or early evening, with the reasoning being that the adcoms wanna get out there!

thank you for your information dekscholar. It's great that if I get accepted, I would have time to celebrate (as I haven't had dinner yet) lol

Ohh, I can't stand the wait!!!! Does anyone know how many out of state students will be accepted this year? Unfortunately, I'm one of them :(

Your out of state?

That makes it a bit more challenging, goodluck however! Are decisions released May 1st?

Your application has been received and is In Review
Decisions will be available the evening of 4/30/2008

I wonder if the 3.87 average GPA Haas stated last year was the average of the applicants at the time they filled out the application or at the time they submit the transcript !!! I think there must be a big different between the two.

nah... i dun think there is a big difference...
most people would atleast maintain their GPA
cuz all of most of their pre reqs should be done.
should be chill classes now so i doubt the GPA should go any lower.
but if u get all As i doubt it will raise it even 0.02

Russkiy_Bear, yea I'm out of state, unfortunately. I live in Pennsylvania but Haas is my number 1 so I keep my fingers crossed. In addition, I'm also from Europe with Green Card, came here 3 years ago so maybe that could help...just 3 days - it's released 4/30! The waiting is just unbearable!!!
