Fall 2011 Acceptances

When? Any confirmation, anybody?

@leakers Don’t try to plan everything out…you’ll go crazy like that lol. Relax. I’ve noticed all the seniors before me managed to settle on a school they were happy with.

oh my Lord, what happened if I am the only one that is not happy …

I’m sure you’ll make the right decision when the time comes (: just go with the school you’re most comfortable with…

Just telling you, UCSD is 5x UCLA’s size. UCLA just has more students :)

soooo party people… what ucsd college did y’all put for your first choice?

My d is a senior at UCSD, ERC, Party? Yikes, it’s a morgue compared to my college experience. They go to SDSU to party, no kidding. Then again, Dad probably gets half the story, and Dad prefers it that way.:)

Ugh. I’m still waiting for UCSD and UCI. I feel like I’m surrounded by a bunch of overachievers that have already gotten into UCI and UCLA TT_TT. Not that I have anything against overachievers since I’m technically one myself with a bunch of weighted classes… Does anyone know UCSD and UCI’s way of sending letters? Is is by ABC order, GPA order, or what? I signed up for Pre-Pharmacy as my major and I am still waiting.

@JelloBiafra: I’m no party person, but I chose Muir as first chose because of its lack of overwhelming GEs like Revelle or Roosevelt.

@ popeyoung; LOL no way!! doesn’t erc have the international house? i heard those europeans love to party… with wine :O

@rainsonata
lol me tooo.
pre-pharm and Muir… lol… only a couple days left till we all find out…

@ rainsonata; dude uci is prob random. i got accepted a week after the honors program kids did, and my stats suck. ucsd… isn’t it everyone all at once?

Did you hear about UCSD’s Phone-a-thon? For 3 days, students at UCSD will phone applicants to congratulate them for being accepted. It’s from March 17-19 mostly in the afternoon. You think we’ll get something? is hopeful

@spatel23: Pre-Pharm buddy! cries in tears Someone besides me! We can only wait… Did you apply for other UCs? I just applied for UCI and got accepted by UCR back in February. What’s your order for the 6 colleges? Mine were: Muir, Warren, Revelle, Marshall, 6th College, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

As a guess, I would think Muir would be the biggest party college. Only thing I’m basing it on (so don’t shoot me!) is that it receives the largest number of freshman applicants (and we all know what happens when mommy and daddy leave for the first time haha)

@jellobiafra I heard muir and Warren are pretty active party-wise! but many just go to SDSU you to party

isn’t the phone a thon for regents kids? otherwise, that would be over 11k folks they need to phone…

I really dislike UCI for its acceptance system. There’s almost no way to predict it, I swear. UCSD’s forum seems more active compared to UCI’s. Isn’t that strange? Although I would prefer going to UCSD than commute at UCI. Any commuters in here if they get into UCSD?

Yes, my d is in I house this year and yes, her 4 international students like to drink and party. I think it’s party over by 1 am on fri. and sat. nite or the campus p.d. is in your face. But I guess partying is a relative term. I was at Madison in the late 70’s and playboy refused to rank UW for partying as they no longer considered the Badgers to be amatuers. Not kidding, spring, 78’ issue.

I’m prepharm too, I picked ERC though…regretting my decision every day…revelle is my second, so maybe I might get that one if get in…somehow…XD

@ deb; warren has lots of parties??? dang… i put that as my first for the peaceful silence… cough, nerdy engineering boys… LOL. i shouldn’t have assumed that they don’t party LOL

@ rain; dude my parents want me to commute to uci too… uggggh! LOL us @ OC kids… :'D

@ Attic Lights: Best lucks you then. I heard ERC can be pretty hellish with its GE requirements. Especially when your major is something unrelated to the humanities. Do you think Warren is ok for pre-pharm students? Even though its mostly popular with the engineer students?
