Accepted! Still can’t believe it.
Read about my acceptance one hour ago, however the email, I got, was in my inbox for 6h already. Never would have thought so. But seems like they work over the weekend as well…:)

Will post my stats later. However I’m an international student and asked for a speeded up decision as I had to tell other unis about my decision by tomorrow.

Best of luck to all the others still waiting for a reply. I almost gave up on it.

Congrats to everyone who got in! When do they let you know if you got rejected? I just want to get it over with now so I don’t have to think about it.

I applied for EA, and I had everything submitted on March 1st. I had my phone interview yesterday. It was pretty intense. They said I should know by the end of the week.

However… I was able to sign in to financial aid just an hour ago. Is that a good sign??

Call me crazy, but I called FedEX to see if there was a package on its way to me and no dice.

I just want my breathing to be normal again.

@ Eliz…Tomorrow, and yes. Who interviewed you and what questions did they ask? Your interview must have gone well if you can already log into FA. I’m so nervous because I want this so bad. Ugh. Even if I do get in I am then faced with the financial aspect. Anyways, Eliz, please give me any advice, tips and insight as possible… Thank You (so nervous!!!)

@Fly: I had an interview with Ivonne. For them to want to interview you is a really great sign!! It shows great interest.

They had questions pertaining to my last year in high school and my time in community college that were not outlined in my essay. I had messed up my last year in HS due to a death in the family, and I was very upfront and honest. I did fine in community college. The questions are usually academically that might not have been mentioned in your essay. She asked me how I have been active academically to keep my mind fresh as I haven’t been in school for some time. The question that threw me off was asking about the last three books I read. Luckily, I remembered a great quote from a book I recently read pertaining to my situation and wanting a better future.

You will do fine!!! Just breathe and relax before they call. Be sure not to drink any energy drinks or coffee (unless if you absolutely have to), as this will make you jittery and ramble. Keep it succinct and honest. Show your passion for the level of the education.

I hope I have helped you.

I also hope that being able to log in is a good sign. Fingers crossed for the both of us!!

@Fly: I too had a phone interview, and just got notice this weekend that I was admitted. I know the feeling of uncertainty surrounding the interview, and Elizabeth has great pointers!

Maybe these tips can also help ease your nerves:

Prepare by assuming the role of admissions, and anticipate what concerns (academic or otherwise) they may have regarding your application. Be as thorough as possible(e.g. I had one C my entire 40+ units of straight A’s at CC and thought I was being possibly too diligent by thinking they might ask about it; they did.).

The feeling that I got from the interview overall, was that they wanted to be sure I was well researched about the demands of the program and prepared for the transition from CC to CU. Good luck! I hope to see you this Fall. :)

OMG FUZZY CONGRATS!
It’s so awesome how many of us have been chatting and supporting each other…it’s been an awesome ride and now were going!

@Fly Sorry if I wasn’t clear… No, she just asked me the last three books I read, and what I liked about them. I said a quote from one of the books that I read that really spoke to me. Hahaha, don’t expect to quote any of them.
