This will tell you which courses are equivalent at Rutgers, so you should get an idea of what will transfer for credit. It won’t tell you which courses are acceptable for your major or other requirements.

“Some courses with Rutgers equivalents in njtransfer.org may actually transfer in as elective credit only, or may not transfer at all if taken while the student was in high school.”

I feel the same way, especially since i’ve not only taken classes from a NJ community college(njtransfer.org gives info), but i have taken/am taking classes at a 4 year school(NJIT). You can try to look at the courses and see if the descriptions match, that may give you a better idea of what will transfer. Maybe talk to your adviser he may have more information especially since this is a school to school transfer. I would also try to contact NB business dep directly and asking them, they might be able to answer some of those course related questions being that the classes you’ve taken are from a Rutgers campus.

I applied to the New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences. I’m a sophomore English major from Montclair University with a 3.86 GPA. I also have a 3.38 from my community college. What are my chances of getting in?

I believe that SOME business class credits do transfer. I know that the pre-req ones (Financial Accounting, Macro and Micro Economics, etc.) do. MIS, though, I’m pretty sure does not transfer over.

Intro to financial accounting, intro to managerial accounting, business forum, stats methods, and micro and macro Econ transfer. Anything else including 300-level classes, MIS, and basic calc don’t transfer over from Rutgers Newark.

Hey everyone, I got into Rutgers NB as a transfer for fall 2013. I got to Northeastern University in Boston now. I’m an NJ native and had a HS GPA of 3.6 and current GPA 3.58. I wrote an essay for my app. Hopefully that helps someone out

Im a freshman at Rowan University and Im trying to transfer to Rutgers NB or Rutgers-Newark for fall 2013. I don’t care which one I get into, they both have what I want. So far I have 16 credits and I will have 31 by the end of this semester. Im an environmental studies major and I had a 3.1 GPA in high school but in my first semester in college I earned a 3.55 GPA. Could anyone tell me my chances of acceptance?? Im very nervous lol

When did you apply and when did you get notified? And most likely it depends on how many people decide to go and the pool of people. I’ve known people who have gotten wait listed and later accepted.

I just got wait listed for SAS and SEBS in NB for some reason. I shown demonstrated interest as well. Newark says that they want my spring semester transcripts so idk what that means. My transcripts won’t be ready until the middle of may and I’ll probably have a 3.2-3.3 GPA after one year at Rowan. Any ideas??

I guess you just have to wait it out for now and try to do your best because both NB and Newark will look at your transcript. I’ve known plenty of people who have gotten wait listed that got accepted because they did really good.

I’m still waiting for New Brunswick business school to reply -.- I applied in January (as a transfer student), and it’s not like my credentials were bad!

Got into Newark… I’m tired of waiting, I want to make my decision now. 1 more whole month…

If they don’t want me, why not deny me? They waiting to last minute to give me bad news?!?!
