I got deferred and put under second review from RBS-NB with a cumulative 3.9 GPA and 42 completed credits from Rutgers Newark.

True. I’m just nervous. lol I hate the long waiting.

I can’t imagine how you feel, it’s going to be a month since I applied and it’s driving me INSANE. I’m losing hope. :(

I applied on Jan 14, with all credentials in on Jan 31. I was accepted to Newark at 2/28. But I’m still waiting on Rutgers NB SAS and RBSNB!
My HS GPA was a 3.9 (I got accepted as a incoming freshman to Rutgers)
My NYU GPA was a 3.4
And I’m currently at another institution (Spring 2013), which I hope I’ll be getting a straight 4.0
What are my chances? I really don’t want to get waitlisted :(

@alvclaudia

We’re almost the same, at least when it comes to the dates. I sent my application on 1/17, and they also received my credentials on 1/31. I was accepted to Newark on 2/26. I’m still waiting on SAS and RBS-NB too. My HS GPA was just a bit short of 3.0, and my college GPA is 3.1 with 52 credits earned. I’m not a NJ resident either

I have a bad feeling that I’m going to be waitlisted or denied though. You sound like you have a good shot though :)

alvcaludia: you definitely will NOT get waitlisted or denied; if in case you do, though, you should ask them to send you a letter on why you didn’t because there’s been cases where people who were supposed to get accepted were denied and they asked for a reason only to hear back that it had been an error on their part.

madbroke: we’re on the same boat man! we just have to wait it out. but, usually when someone gets into Rutgers Newark they get into the SAS in NB. Mine is a school to school transfer from RBS-Newark to SAS-NB, and I don’t know whether it’s harder for me or not.

I was just accepted into SAS!

I was denied from RBS-NB, but I just put it there for the hell of it. I didn’t even have the prereqs lol

Congrats! Maybe I’ll see you in the Fall!

Ok im a little confused…can someone help me out?! On my application status for Rutgers-Newark it says “Spring 2013 Grades Requested” and I want to transfer there in the fall. They said they would let me know by May 1st if i am admitted but my grades for this semester won’t be in until May 15th. How can they accept me or deny me if my grades aren’t ready yet? I just wanna know where I stand.

They will probably let you know after they receive your grades then.

****… this morning i received an email around 7:00 am, while I was making breakfast. I brushed it off, until I received another email, 7:45ish… That 7 am email was my acceptance to RBS-NB… I can’t breathe!!! ;)

That’s awesome! congrats! If I may ask what was your GPA?

i have a 3.47 at my current community college.
my hs grade- 2.4something…

See… with a little faith, anything is possible! My essay was superb!

Wish I did not have to wait til June to hear a decision =(

Same here! I’m hoping I get notified beforehand. You’re doing a school to school transfer within rutgers too?

Let me know when they notify you! :)

Hey all-

I’m a NJ native (currently at TCNJ) with a 3.3 college GPA with a 3.5 from a competitive high school and 1980 combined SAT. I’m heavily involved in extracurriculars in both college and HS. I applied Jan. 15 for New Brunswick SAS and was notified of my acceptance to there on February 13th. Also got into School of Enviro/Biological Sciences, but was not admitted to School of Engineering. I also wrote the optional essay. Not sure if this helps anyone determine their chances, but good luck to all still waiting to hear back or wait-listed.

I have a 3.35, so it gives me hope! Thanks a lot for sharing :)

Anyone who was admitted receive an admittance packet yet? I was really looking forward to getting a packet in the mail but it’s been almost 4 weeks and nothing. I’m also curious when will we receive a transcript evaluation and will it come with the financial aid package or will it be separate? I know they said evaluations will be mailed/received in the late spring but it’s almost April already.

Yes Ben. I got congrats packets from all three campuses, just a couple of days after being admitted to each.

Credit Evaluation is in May-August.
In June you review your financial aid offer.

You should Call to find out why you haven’t received yours. 4 weeks is way too long.
