I'm not really sure how competitive GW transfer is. Also, is it easy for transfers to adjust socially?

I'm a female at a top 40 Liberal Arts College. I'm planning on majoring in Peace Studies.
I have a 3.78 GPA
1940 SATs
pretty good Essays, and I am a part of three clubs, one of which is an academic drumming ensemble.
I also applied last year, but did not get in. Any thoughts?

Hey! I am thinking of transferring to GWU in the fall of 2014 and I currently attend a public university. Is your GPA from High School or from your first year in college? I think you have a really good chance of getting in! But I also have the same concerns regarding adjusting socially…

My GPA is my college GPA. Goodluck! :)

@Sammvp1 what were your stats the first time you applied? Your chances of getting in seem really good! Have you heard back yet?

I haven’t heard back yet… But I’ve already committed to Wash U in St. Louis. They gave me a decision in March and I had to answer by April 1st, so it was silly to give up that opportunity to wait for GW.

@annie147 I’d still like to hear though just incase something happens with Wash U… GWU is still a great school.

@Sammvp1 I’m waiting anxiously! I called yesterday and they told me end of May!!! I have been accepted to Virginia Tech and GMU which both require me to commit by June 1!
Initially they said mid April, then late April, then early may, then mid May, and now late May!
