Only 67 more days
@Salmanthgr8 Love it! Except Sundays include the Walking Dead
Luckily my husband applied to state schools as a back up too so we get those results sooner. So far SJSU and CSU Sacramento! Lots of portals to check!
I checked both my UCSB and UCLA student portals and UCLA says “Application Received” while UCSB says “Decision Pending”. So we’ll see! I’m with you guys. I’ve read these threads before, and now experiencing the desire to check the portals daily. Sometimes more than once.
@Cayton Thank you!! Your posts have been super helpful.
My portal still says “Application Received” too. Come on, April! You are not alone in checking those portals daily, @sevensparrows !
@sugarbabies3 I assume you’re a parent? Nice to know I’m not alone
This semester, a third of my attention goes out to UC anxiety in waiting for UC admissions; another third goes out to what I’m doing while I’m pledging my frat; and the final third is divided three ways between school, the improv team, and total nonsense.
All this waiting is killing me. In two months, I’ll know where I’ll be for the next two years. And that’s only one of the things I’m waiting for right now:
-Game of Thrones Season 6
-Rick and Morty Season 2
-Star Wars VIII
-DC Summer Program acceptance/rejection
-And for my Comparative Politics essay to be graded.
Literally school is in the back of my mind right now. I know it shouldn’t be, but it is. I’m slowly falling behind in all of my classes. I don’t like it, but I know it’s happening. I can feel it.
@Edirol you got it
@marchon Sounds like you have a very good chance. A high GPA combined with extracurriculars is very helpful, since you are OOS. Good luck in April.
The UC Application Portal is such a blessing and a curse right now. Despite full-time classes and work, I still can’t seem to get my mind off of admissions! A little less than two months…
Remember to submit FAFSA this week!
I’ve been tracking the emails UCLA sends us to check if I’m still “in the loop”. I heard from friends that they’ve sent out one of their generic intro to UCLA emails today but I still haven’t received it and am feeling pretty anxious.
I’m wondering if how early you get emails is related to the letter of your last name… Has anyone else received or not received it yet today?
I have not received anything from UCLA since Feb 13th. They are just generic emails, so it doesn’t matter.
@toto999 I received a “Find Your Place at UCLA” email today. It seems pretty generic! I know that they haven’t even looked at my application yet, so I’m not taking it as a sign of anything.
Someone tell my chances of getting into UCLA!

@LopApo @incogneato My last one was on Feb 13th too. Yeaa, they are pretty generic. The wait’s just been getting to me, I guess. Thanks for the responses!
I dont think UCLA will notify transfer students until mid-April. Probably the 15th or 22nd. They always let people know on a Friday!
Wait wait, @incogneato, how do you know they haven’t even looked at your app?
@naregian https://www.admission.ucla.edu/myApplication/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fmyApplication%2fStatus.aspx
Mine is still sitting at “Application Received.”
@incogneato Same here
mine says the same thing
Same. Berkeley says they’re under review. Haven’t checked any of the other portals recently.
