@altavista wait does it say your application is received?
@altavista Wait, why is mine still says Application Status: Application Received?
@resonanx Mine says received as well. I think that’s what they meant.
lol this paranoid mind is killing me. Goodluck guys !
Mine says received. I’m biz econ major.
Mine is also under the received status.
Comparative Literature for me…
Sorry, I meant application received! Got confused with another UC I applied to that says it’s under review.
Where are you gys seeing a link that says under review? How do I get to that page?
I check my admission status at least 3-5 times a day (although I realize they’re not sending decisions out until next month) as this process has basically taken over my life at this point. I’ll definitely be bummed out if i’m rejected, but I’d rather just know NOW so I can begin the grieving process and move on with my life lol. I’m usually a very patient person but I just can’t deal with this. It’s actually driving me crazy
@CATransfer2016 DITTO. I just want to know when they’re looking at my application! I mean, I have no idea what good that does me, but I just want to know!
@incogneato I’m a pre-psych applicant as well and my application status still says application recieved too.
Are we sure that the the status is supposed to change once it’s under review? Maybe we’re supposed to assume it’s under review if it’s recieved? Lol I don’t know but this wait is killing me :-SS
@UCLAhopeful922 My UCSB portal says “Decision Pending”. I’m not sure if the UCLA portal will say the same at any point but I keep checking.
@sevensparrows Did it say anything between that and “Application Received”?
Mine has said “Application Received” since I applied. I also know that my application was reviewed early because I got one of those “Immediate Response Required” emails at the beginning of February.
I don’t think UCLA changes the status until decisions come out.
@incogneato It went from “Application Received” straight to “Decision Pending”, nothing in between. I did also received one of the “immediate response required” emails from UCSB and that is when it switched to “Decision Pending”. My UCLA portal has stayed the same straight through.
Is there any … film transfer student here? nervous T.T
My gpa is 3.5…pre-political science is the major I applied for. I am a community college transfer student. Is the gpa too low? I heard that the university of California is accepting more students from the California community colleges because of budget increase…how do you think this will affect UCLA admissions? Does my chance for admission increase due to this?
@AMA2018 The average admitted GPA for Political Science was between 3.61 and 3.89, so you are on the lower side. Some UCs are accepting more than others, but it’s hard to say how that will translate into admissions decisions. More people may apply, but the smaller schools may be accepting more students from this budget increase than the larger, more selective schools It’s not to say that it’s impossible for you to get in, though. If you have an excellent application alongside your GPA, you stand a better shot. UCLA uses holistic review, which can definitely work in your favor if your GPA isn’t stellar.
@AMA2018 @incogneato I just found an article that states that the increase in California residential transfers for 2016-2017 will apply to UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, and UC Merced.
Here is the link if you would like to take a look yourselves
