Anyone know if ucla holds some type of transfer day or something for admitted students
@potassium39 there is a bruin day for transfer students! I believe its in May.
@grimmghost My best guess is that UCLA could release either this friday or the 18th which is monday. This is just based off of the last years forums
Any updates on myucla for those with access to it? I think we should update each other since there’s like a week left.
I haven’t seen any on mine.
Can anyone call admissions lol. Because as @nnatho pointed out, this is the first year in five years to have 5 weeks in april, not 4 (which last year had).
So it DEFINITELY could be this friday. oh lawddddddd
@grimmghost I will call admissions on my break, but I doubt they’ll tell me anything. I emailed deborah wong which is one of the admissions directors and she wouldn’t spill the beans…
@g_green I went on the ucla admissions notification page and shows the same standard thanks for applying notice. nothing new
I called. She said, “Late April. There’s no date.”
Yeah right, lady. THERE’S ALWAYS A DATE.
What a troll. Literally fax her print outs of the past 4 years of ucla transfer threads. THEY’RE ALL ON THE SAME DAY MA’AM. #EndSadism2016
Sorry, I wrote t- r- 0- l- l. I’m not cussing her out haha
@nnatho Can you explain your calculations for it being this Friday? I saw a mathematical tangent on another thread
@boxandwhiskers Did you ask her what definition of late she’s using? Is that the last 25% of the month? Post-50%?
Lol kidding, but shit why can’t they all be like Berkeley and tell us when we should check so we’re not adding brain aneurysm surgery to the cost of our tuition.
Yeah she was not amused by my phone call. And hung up really quickly after her reply. It’s probably the 22nd and then rolling after that.
Cant be on the 18th. Its gonna be on a friday. So itll most likely be 22nd. Could even be 29th who knows this year
Anyone who didn’t get the Regents invitation: It’s only for California residents!
This is from the UCLA 2016-17 Financial Aid Handbook, Page 11:
"The UCLA Regents Scholarship is a highly competitive, merit-based scholarship that is available to entering freshmen and entering transfer students. Students are invited to compete for this scholarship based on demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and exceptional promise. The latest statistical data averages for freshmen Regents are as follows: GPA: 4. 31 , SAT Math: 759, SAT Reading: 742, SAT Writing: 744, Best subject: 792, Honors/AP: 22 units.
Freshmen are guaranteed $2,000 per year for four years and transfer students are guaranteed $2,000 per year for two years. Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 to be considered for a Regents scholarship. All students must be a resident of California and be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S."
This is the link to the handbook, hopefully it’ll work: http://www.financialaid.ucla.edu/Portals/9/publications/2016-2017/16-17%20FA%20Handbook.pdf
Thanks @Charphilo I guess we’ll see soon!
My best bet is April 25th, since April 2011 had 5 weeks like we do in 2016. I looked up the UCLA transfer thread for 2011 and they all got their decisions on the 25th

Has anyone’s status on the UCLA admissions page change from received to being in review? I’m kind of worried that mine has yet to be read and admissions are supposedly coming out next week D: being a communications major who’s application gets sent directly to the department itself that could be the reason why…but still…I’m just so anxious to know!! T0T
@tedopotato12 I don’t think anyone’s says “in review” only “application received”
I found this link for those who want to check it out http://universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/admissions-source-school
