I have seen any transfer thread for 2016 fall, so I just created this one.
I hope we can help each other and hopefully for those who will get in can be friends in the future.
I am transferring from a top 25 (US News) university in CA.

I applied on 2nd Feb. Materials were all marked as complete on 11th Feb. The actual notification for the “application complete” was on 8th April, tho. So, I think I still need to wait for a while.
I went to Washu 2 weeks ago, and it was a beautiful campus. I am a ccc student, and waiting for the results from UCs. However, I feel like I want to go to Washu over UCB or UCLA… but I am not so sure where to choose because of all those other factors such as circumstances, weather, reputation, my major program, class size, tuition fee, costs of living, etc.
Is Washu your top priority? Since you said you are transferring from a top 25 uni in CA, which would probably be either UCLA or USC, I would like to ask you why you would want to transfer from such a great enough university, please. Thx.

@jackpotgirl777 I applied for some Ivies and other schools on the east coast or at least closer to the east coast. I want to do banking, so the west coast is not the ideal option. As to USC, I do not really like the social vibe here. Personally, I think the academics here is not as rigorous as I expect. There are brilliant students, but it’s still hard to find them and initiate some philosophical conversation and alike. And the ECON program here is kinda sloppy, which I think is underfunded. You can go to studentsreview.com and read some negative comments, which I think somehow reflects a lot of my concerns about USC.

Based on other threads, people said they heard back from wustl within a month of applying, has anyone heard of anyone hearing back? I’m hoping to find out within the next 2 weeks.

@wustl2016fall They said middle of May but I hope it will come out next week since I need to decide where to go by May 1… When was your application marked “complete” (officially- got an email saying “complete”)?
@jackpotgirl777 I don’t think they send any email to confirm that your application is complete. You have to check your application portal.
@owenrider Oh… I did receive a confirmation email saying my application was marked as complete. !
My application (including all materials) was completed 11 February and I got the confirmation email 8 April !

We will release admission decisions on the WashU Pathway in Mid-May. Admitted students will need to submit an enrollment deposit form and fee by June 1 to ensure their place in the class.
Prior to Mid-May, please be sure you are able to access your account on the WashU Pathway, using the email address you provided when you applied, and the password you selected. If you are unable to access your account, please contact your application processor. Decisions will only be provided on the Pathway, so it is imperative that you are able to access your account there.
After decisions are posted, we will send additional communications to admitted students via postal mail. If your current address will be changing after May 1, please let your processor know your new address and the date it becomes effective.

@owenrider Glad it was helpful. I will try sending an email to ask if I can get a decision early so that I can either accept or decline admission offers from other schools… Hopefully, they will let me know early since they are one of the kindest, fastest and most helpful admissions I have experienced here!
I got my confirmation email on April 8th too.

UCLA, UCD, UoMich (Michigan AA), UoM (Minnesota TC), UIUC (Illinois UC) !
Those are all top schools for psychology. I really dont know where to go… and I only have about a week to decide… any opinion?!
