From the transfer newsletter in case some people do not know about it:
“As announced at the UW/CC Advising Conference in March, the Seattle campus of the UW was able to make just over 450 offers to Washington CC transfer applicants in late April. Additionally, expect another 500 offers in May. The bulk of the remaining offers will go out in June, followed by offers to Engineering and Informatics majors in July. For context, the Seattle campus of the UW expects to make offers to about 1,800 Washington CC transfer applicants total for autumn quarter 2017, for an expected enrollment of about 1,200. In the past, most transfer offers went out in mid- or late-June, so this is significant progress.

3.6 overall.
3.7 major (business).
Applied open-major (business, stats).
Out of state 4-year.
Run a business/ a lot of startup work (acquisition & product launch)/ a lot of skilled community probono work/ I work for LinkedIn to help students on campus.
I am very scared.
I don’t know how this process works, and I am only taking solace in the fact that I haven’t been rejected yet.
For those of you who also applied to UWB, I just got accepted as a premajor My unofficial transcript loaded today and the message on my transfer link updated as well! I’m so happy (:
@DannyUW2017 I didn’t check the transcript at all before I received the letter. @nervoustransferstudent Out of state CC transferring with 61 semester credits, GPA 3.95, took some honors courses, I’d say decent essays but nothing too great. HS gpa below a 3.0, did not send test scores as it was not needed. I don’t have a whole lot of EC’s, I run a tiny online business and am in 2 organizations. I have a humanities background with some CS.
What is the transfer link? I’m a UW Seattle student trying to transfer to bothell since I keep getting rejected from my majors here. Applied over 9 weeks ago to bothell and still no news
Was accepted to CSE as an instate CC transfer to start this Fall.
Cum GPA ~3.9 (~50 credits).
Imo really solid essay.
Beyond happy, a weight has been lifted, it’s been a stressful few months.
Wish all of you the best of luck!
Hi I’m a senior in high school and I got placed on the waitlist for UW Seattle. If I don’t get off it I will be attending Boise State University. How good of a chance is it that I will be accepted as a transfer student next year?
I am a girl looking to go into mechanical engineering. I have been on my schools first robotics team for three years, been on ASB for all four, done varsity basketball for two years, and have done a lot of volunteering through NHS. My GPA is 3.97 and I got a 29 on my ACT. I think the reason why I got placed on the waitlist was because I submitted my application on the last day. If I countinue to do a lot in engineering and volunteering, will I have a decent chance at getting in?
Not if you go to Boise. They mostly accept in state WA community college transfers mostly, especially those with 90 credits. Your best bet is going to a Washington CC.
Hello everyone, my name is Alondra and I’m new to joining a discussion on college confidential and since I’m still waiting for a response I figured I should post my stats and wait with people still waiting to hear back:
Major: psychology
4.0 major GPA (that is if they consider a couple of the courses equivalent, I hope they try and look into the course descriptions offered at my college to see that they really are equivalent; they just have different titles)
3.91 overall GPA
Out of state transfer from California
60 semester units completed as of spring’17
I actually sent my Spring’17 grades today since most of my major courses I took this semester.
Hey @lyskin , I did not directly ask UW if I could send my grades, but I figured if UW can ask for additional info during the review process, I can send my grades anyway. I asked my college to send my Spring Semester grades (grade were available as of June 12) with rush service. It is a gamble because I don’t know if they will receive my grades in time before looking at my application.
Hello @612amg615 , we do have similar stats! I am very anxious to hear back, but fingers crossed that you, me, and everyone waiting to hear back gets good news.
