@champagnemami if it was academic dismissal, don’t you have to pull up the GPA at a UC or UC extension before you can reapply? I might be wrong, but I thought you had to get it fixed via a UC before reapplying. But then, maybe your mess-up was not academic.
@kkus2013 About 12 years ago I got an AA degree and an abysmal GPA to go with it. Even though I knew the classes I took would not transfer to UCLA, I had to enter all the grades/info anyway, and I was really nervous about it. In any event, I made sure to get a 4.0 at a CCC that went towards my major…and I got in last year!
Don’t worry if your grades are bad in classes that don’t transfer. As long as you show that you’ve improved since then (which you clearly have with your current GPA), you should be good. I’m excited for you to find out soon!
@Ohm888 I never officially attended because my admissions was revoked before I could officially enroll so I’m just a ccc - uc and I don’t need renewal.
So, if I got a C+ in a class that does not transfer, I would have to retake it and that C+ wouldnt count for my gpa???
@ClaydeVassallo - Why would you have to retake it? To get a better grade? If it won’t transfer I would not bother retaking it.
You also cannot retake classes that you passed.

Anyone have any info on UC to UC intercampus Transfer? Where do i find the major pre-reqs for Computer Science. Currently a freshmen at UCSC and would like to try for UCLA. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Does anyone want to chance me?
Major: Psychology
UC GPA: 3.94
College GPA: 3.86
4.0 GPA past two semesters
IGETC/Major Prep: 90% done, finishing the remainder this semester
I was a “middle college” aka dually enrolled college and hs student for my junior and senior year. This is my third year of CC, but my first year out of hs.
EC's
UCSF psych internship (only two months)
Social media intern (2+ yrs)
Editor/writer of a student publication (less than one yr)
Development intern: led high school service programs in SE Asia
Microfinance/International development club (junior and senior year of hs)
Hospital volunteer (all 4 years of high school)
PTK (didn't place too much emphasis on this since I'm not too involved)
I was unsure of how much to list from high school since I’ve only been a full-time college student for a year (or a semester when the application was filled out), and my high school/college coursework overlaps.
Work Experience
Swim instructor and swim lessons coordinator (2+ yrs)

I don’t know exactly what constitutes a self-proclaimed “strong” essay, but I talked about:
-How I developed a strong work ethic using concrete examples of time management, taking 20 units, etc.
-How I used my leadership skills/expertise in social media to help conduct nonprofit/charity work
-Talked about my “creative” side: my involvement with the photography dept at my CC
@ClaydeVassallo You can’t retake it, but you can explain the circumstances of the C on your app like I did. Plus, if it doesn’t transfer, it won’t count towards your UC GPA, but you still have to report it.
Also, @vinram925 I would definitely talk to a counselor, and in the meantime, you could take a look at assist.org for the major pre-req info at UCSD, just to give you an idea.

@Edirol Thank you very much for your reply. It means a lot for me. I hope I can get in. There are two months far from the admission decision day. I am so nervous.
Has anyone heard anything about the regents scholarship?
Meaning if we’ve received it? @Johnx014
I just logged in to check my application status and I noticed that under my personal information on the top left side the major I’m applying for is no longer there. It just ends after my email. Has this happened to anyone else?
@brnnbrnn…was this on the UCLA website? I’ve never seen anything on the top left side.
@enpz45 maybe not the top top but like towards the middle, it looks like this:

@brnnbrnn I have the same thing as your…
@brnnbrnn Yea, that’s exactly what I have. Where was your major listed?
@enpz45 I check the portal nearly everyday, and last few times I remember checking it had the major I applied for (Comms Studies) listed under my email address, and now it’s not listed anymore. I’ve been frantically digging through these forums because I remember this happening to someone else last year but to no avail. I think I might be over thinking it at this point, but if anyone has any information that would definitely put my mind at ease.
