Theatre arts isn’t really dependant on GPA. It’s almost entirely based on portfolio or audition.
can someone give me more insight on African American studies and what have been the average transfer gpa coming straight from another uc. Looking at past threats over the course of three years I rarely see anybody majoring in it.I mostly saw people get Into ucla with 3.4 as philosophy and 3.2 with history. My gpa is a 3.1 after dropping all my courses as first timer at uc Davis due to me struggling and I participate in the black student union work at the dining hall Davis as well Nigerian student association. also does ucla no if you applied again I applied when as cc to transfer student and I wasn’t accepted as sociology so I choose uc Davis over uc Irvine and uc riverside
@“osazuwa ogbeide” http://www.admission.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof14_mjr.htm I’m not sure what the UC-UC average GPA would be but I hope this can help answer some of your questions I think you’ll be okay with a 3.1
3.76 GPA Anthropology major.
EC: Two clubs, Spanish and Puente. I am a soccer coach of 4 years for AYSO. I also ref and I am a division coordinator for the league. Athena Leadership program and scholarship. Math Tutor.
Top schools in order: UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCSB, UCR. What are my chances? I am 35 years old with 4 kids and I have a few W’s and some bad grades from around 15 years ago in 2002. I applied for academic renewal and got rid of some bad grades. MY GPA since is started college again is a 3.9, my past grades have brought it down a bit.
@Ometeotl I think you have a very good chance of getting into all your choices. I respect and admire your resilience with your education and know you will accomplish great things that will set a strong precedent for your kids. RESPECT!
Hey guys, I’m super nervous about these decisions. Can someone chance me? Sorry I’m posting this everywhere.

IGETC: Completed
EC: Ehh, decent
Hi everyone, I transferred in fall 2015 and Im graduating in 3 months. If you have any questions about the transfer process or your competitiveness/stats feel free to PM me. I might take a while to respond because finals are coming up.
@Salmanthgr8 I am a uc to uc transfer from Uc Davis who intends to transfer to ucla next quarter. I attended uc Davis for the first time ever last quarter and I withdrew from the university. I know want to attend ucla our Berkeley. Berkeley more preferably since it semester system and since it a train ride away from my house. I still attend uc Davis at the moment
Major:African American studies
Minor: Ancient near East
UC GPA: 3.1 from community college
Major GPA: 3.0 Only took one Aframm course in community college got a b
IGETC: competed
Major Prep: looking at ucla transfer prep it says one African American Studies course which I have took but I’m missing one civilizations of Africa course. these are all from community college since my uc Davis gpa is 0.0 do to the withdrawal
TAP: none

part of Black Student Union

Old navy summer 2016
@Salmanthgr8 Hey, thank you for answering our questions. I was wonder how different, in terms of difficulty and work demanded, are UCLA classes from the CC ones you took before you transferred. Thanks!
@“osazuwa ogbeide” Your gpa is low but its above the 25th percentile for people admitted into your major. I’d say you have about a 50/50 shot at UCLA, but your chances at Berkeley are pretty low tbh. I don’t understand though, you said you withdrew from UC Davis but you’re still going there?
@jackbane It really depends on what classes, but for the most part, the classes are a little harder, but manageable. In community college I would study for a test 1-2 days before and I’d be fine. But at UCLA I have to start studying from the first day of the quarter because it goes fast
@Salmanthgr8 I withdrew from the university so I wouldn’t be on academic probation my first quarter ever at a uc. uc Davis let you come back to the university under special circumstances if you academic record good
@Salmanthgr8 I forgot to mention my major for uc Berkeley is ethnic studies
As the time is coming, I am getting More MOre MORe MORE nervous…
Even though I applied to UCB EECS as well, now UCLA CSE becomes my #1 choice for some reasons; friends of mine told me I am crazy. huh
Can anyone chance me critically?
Thank you in advance guys and good luck to you all crews.

Has anyone who attended/attends SMC turned in their IGETC certification form? I finished all my GE/ Major Pre-reqs during Winter 2017 and right now I’m just waiting to hear back. Currently not enrolled in any classes, does any one know if it looks bad
Hey guys! I know there is no reason to be happy yet. But this email that I just got gives me some hope.

@brnnbrnn Hey! I’m at SMC and on the form it makes you choose the school to send it to, so I would do the IGETC from when you get your acceptance.
@champagnemami Thanks! so you are waiting till you get your acceptance before you turn in your form as well? Also are you currently enrolled for spring? I finished all my GE’s and Pre-req’s for my major so I’m not currently enrolled in any classes
@brnnbrnn No problem! I’m waiting for the acceptance (hopefully lol) until I turn it in and yeah I’m finishing pre-reqs this spring.
@masechka1988 I received this mail a month ago. You can click the link and find out which UC campus was emailing you to require that information.
