@Shytstorm well diffy q builds on calc 3, it’s one of the last lower div maths so i consider it as calc 4 XD
diffy q and linear are usually the ones you end up taking as a stem major
your best bet would be assist.org cuz idk which cc you went to lol
for my cc, it’s just linear alg unless you want to take the combo class that includes both diffy q and lin alg (overkill and 5 units riiip haha)
@Shytstorm Diff Eq is not required for Statistics. The pre req classes are Calc 1-3, Linear Algebra, Intro to Stats and an intro programming class.
I asked my counselor would it be fine if I listed all my classes through LACC since that is my host college and she complied it would be fine
Through further research, I’ve learned that is not the case. I took 4 other classes that were not LACC but their sister colleges (elac, wlac, and Lavc) throughout the district, and it is too late to change on my TAU. The LACCD is very confusing because of budget cuts, and some colleges not offering certain classes, so you must take them at the other college in the district.
Would this negate acceptance, if I were even lucky enough to get in?
@TokyoTed1 I seriously doubt it will matter
@TokyoTed1 the other CC classes you took, do they cover IGETC requirements, major prep, or achieving 60 UC transferrable units?
Yes, they were all UC transferable classes, and did help me achieve UC transferrable units:
-
Health 11: Principles Of Healthful Living (elac)
-
History 007: The world’s great Religions (lavc)
-
Engineering 101: Introduction To Science, Engineering, And Technology (lavc)
-
Administration Of Justice 002 - Concepts Of Criminal Law (wlac)
@TokyoTed1 and you did not include them in your UC app or on your TAU (transfer academic update)?
I included them, but I put them under LACC because my counselor told me all the classes transfer over throughout the district. For example, if you take an English 101 course at LACC at WLAC or any other school in the district you can now take English 102, 103, etc.
So I took health for instance at elac, but on the app put lacc
Hope I explained well enough
@TokyoTed1 No problem, it definitely shouldn’t matter. I’m also in LACCD (pierce and valley); the classes at one college are designed to transfer over to corresponding classes at the other sister campuses. Both your GPA, and the course prereqs you have completed, will be the same either way. All you can do is send an email to UC admissions informing them of the error.
@TokyoTed1 update on TAU and send the correct CCC/courses to all the UCs you applied to by email. I was DMing a person, same issue, and he was told by a UC he had to put WLAC and not LACC up on TAU. They told him to do it immediately just two days ago). I’m not sure who’s telling you this faulty info over at LACC, but you could possibly get rejected if they are confused about classes. You’re always supposed to list all the CCCs. That’s why they ask. Imagine the confusion otherwise.
I agree with @Ohm888 i would doubt that you have a comprehensive transcript from LACCD that encompasses all classes taken? If so, no worries. If not, your TAU or application should reflect each individual school you have attended.
In my not so expert opinion!!
My TAU won’t allow me to. When I tried to click start date for add
it wouldn’t let me click on it anymore.
A couple days ago I could, now I can’t.
The classes are the same title, same department, same course, same units, and the same grade I entered.
The counselor said pretty much what @mightyMETA did. She told me my GPA would be exactly the same, and my prereqs would be unaffected
Log on to your ucla admission site. Click on Contact us, tell them what you want to tell, they will answer you what is needed. CC is NOT admission officer, you should seek official answers.
@TokyoTed1 we are all just giving our best guess. Go to the source as articulated by the last message and ask the admission office how to proceed.
You won’t be able to make changes prior to Fall 2016 course work on the TAU.
Use this form to report the changes to UCLA: https://www.admission.ucla.edu/ContactForm/Applicant.aspx
I seriously don’t think it’s a big deal, but make sure to report the changes, and then tell your counselor she’s wrong so she doesn’t lead another person into the same error down the road
Ok will do. Thanks
Yeah im going to get in contact with them as soon as possible. Thanks for the help
Ahhh makes sense as to why I cant update some of them. And yes i’ll send a wide email to the schools I applied. Thanks for the help, and im gonna definitely tell her
Im wondering if it’s the same advisor. The other was LACC too.

Thank you and good luck to everyone.
