Fall 2018 schedule

I’m a Community College Pre-Engineering student. After taking all my brush up math courses I am now able to take classes that have to do with my major. I was gonna take Biology this fall but I decided I needed to get feel for engineering first so I can see if I like it or not and if I don’t like these engineering courses I might switch to meteorology, environmental science, or zoology. Does it make sense to do that? If I change majors, these engineering courses will count as electives.

This is my fall 2018 schedule. This Is 14 cr hrs which is a jump from what I have been taking of 12 cr hrs.

Calculus I
General Chemistry I
Introduction to Engineering Design
Engineering software tools II

if things go well this semester, this is what i have planned for spring 2019.

Calculus II
General Chemistry II
Mechanics (physics 1)

Definitely makes sense. If you plan to go into engineering but don’t have a lot of experience with it, it doesn’t hurt to get a feel for it and take the basics. If you end up disliking it, it is still early and you’ll have time to try out other subjects.

I would recommend sitting in as a free student. That way if you are on financial aid it won’t cost you. I would do that to be honest.

Well they’ll count as electives if I switch majors.
