If anyone got in as a sociology major please share your stats!

Denied without reasons why. Should I appeal based on my stats?

Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.86
Golden 4: Completed
Major prep: 3 courses still needed
Location: Norcal

Redirected to another CSU? Could anyone explain what this means? Does it mean I was denied, can I appeal ?

Redirected to another CSU, I’m guessing this is basically a rejection?

Redirected with 3.6 before ADT, business administration from Orange County. Not even getting waitlist is a kick in the crotch here pretty much.

It means you’re qualified but there’s no more space. They sent your app to a different school to see if they could accommodate you. We all probably have an AA-T. We’re guaranteed spots at CSUs but not if it’s impacted

Accepted - Bus Admin (Finance) 3.53 GPA

Unfortunately though I made up my mind on Long Beach already.

I was redirected for admission to SDSU as well

Communication (applied): 4.0 GPA
Golden Four: Completed
Degree: AA-T by end of the semester

SDSU was supposed to be a backup school so I’m not too disappointed, but it’s definitely a confidence reducer. I really think they are only giving admission to any people who live in the SD area. I live in Northern California and do not see any reason I should have been denied but oh well.

Rejected
Major: Anthropology
GPA: 3.50
Golden Four: will be completed Spring 2018
IGETC: completed spring 2018

Pending: UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCLA, Cal, UCSD,

Redirected as well,
Communications major with a 3.8 GPA,
From Orange County and did a year at another CSU, which ultimately I believe hurt my chances of getting in.
Going to CSU Fullerton!
Congrats to all accepted!

Golden Four: Completed
IGETC: Completed
AA-T: No, but 1 AA in social/behavioral science
Non-local (South Bay area)
Admitted: CSULB, UCSB
Pending: UCLA, UCSD

Surprised, and kinda bummed but it’s ok!! Congrats to everyone who got accepted!

Local doesnt mean you live close. ( Less than an hr away). Local means you went to one of their feeder schools ( Grossmont, Miramar, Mesa, Southwestern, City College, etc) If you live in San Marcos and went to Palomar College or Miracosta you are not considered local, your local school is CSU San Marcos.

If you were redirected it means, SDSU did not take you but if you have an AA-T you are guaranteed to another school who is not impacted, therefor your second choice school on the application is where you have been redirected to.
