Any cons if applying to McCombs FInance and Dept of Economics in the liberal arts and see which one offers admission. First Choice: McCombs, 2nd: Economics. Will it be allowed at in the application? Thanks
It is allowed and both programs require the same 4 courses for transfer, but the focus is always on your first choice major. It is not common for transfer to be admitted into their second major.
Thank You CuriousGeorgeTX. We’re just afraid that the same procedures are used from Freshman applicants, where if the 1st choice is not offered, they will not consider 2nd choice especially if the 1st choice is the very competitive programs like Business, CS and Engineering.
Oops. I re-read your comment. I guess if the chance of not getting accepted into the very competitive program… better put the 2nd choice in the 1st choice, correct? Since you mention it’s not common to be admitted into their second major.
