Hey NYU sophmores, juniors and seniors!
Please help a freshman choose courses for fall. There are so many profs teaching the same course, its not even funny!
Any thoughts on which prof is good for math:
-J. Johns, N. Jiang, E. Vanden Eijden, S. Berman, M. Shelley, J. Shatah, H. McKean, P. Germain
For ConWest:
-Antiquity and Middle Ages with Prof Rust
-Antiquity and Renaissance with Prof Gerety
-Antiquity and Enlightenment with Prof Connoly
For Intro to Pysch:
-Prof David Amodio or Prof Edgar Coons
Thanks a bunch!

Math courses tend to be taught by bad professors. Esp past Calc 1. You should look them up on rate my professor, or NYU's CAS student council rating thing.

For conwest and psych, def try rate my prof, they should be on there. And you should check NYUs own prof ratings (the student council one).

I believe prof Connoly's class is closed, you should double check on albert.

Johns, Berman, Shelley, and Germain are all closed, I believe. I think I'm going with either Jiang or Shatah, since they seem to have good ratings. Anyway, that's based on my research... I'm registering tomorrow. :)

As for ConWest/World Cultures... I think I'm doing WC this semester and ConWest next semester.

ahh nevermind

The ConWest and World Cultures courses that I want are in the same days and the same damn time slot. Grr by the time orientation session F rolls around, they'll be closed anyway.

Where can you find "Rate my Professor" or "NYU's CAS student council rating thing"?

www.ratemyprofessor.com

The CAS course evaluation guide is http://www.nyu.edu/cas/ceg/index.html

Thank you very much.

How's "ConWest: ancient and modern democracy"?

I heard Pasquino's really good on ratemyprofessor

I think Pasquino's class is closed. The lecture's filled... all that's left is the recitations.

You should probably just pick another course... they advise you not to get on a waitlist.

Stupid question (maybe), but how are all you guys registering for classes/ finding out what classes are available to you outside the MAP requirements listed on the CAS website?

Albert. you check your grades there, your bill balance, you register there, and do just about everything else on it.

Just click course status, and choose from the different departments. Keep in mind, all of the upperclassmen already registered. So not too many things are left. I suggest you do your requirements asap. Take Marc liebermans Macroeconomics class.
