And i think the floors are divided by sections? girls on one side, boys on another? (i'll consider that a plus!)

Ah! I've heard some horror stories concerning roomates and such...i'll cross my fingers and hope that doesn't happen to me!

as far as the bathrooms...the girls on my floor better be clean! =/

14000103 BROWARD HALL
^ that would mean hall 140? room 001? and im assigned # 03? (first floor right?)
could i may be look at that room while i'm at preview?

My daughter stayed overnight in a triple in Broward during preview last year(she was in a double on the second floor of Broward - 14026701 -for the school year). The triple rooms are at the end of the hall (corner room) and they are a little bigger than the double rooms. They have a bunk bed on one wall and a single bed on the other.
The communal bathroom was ok. My daughter thought the water pressure was really good but hated having to shower with flip flops on. She loved being in Broward.

Sobe if you are in room 001 then i think you are on the ground floor. Yes, you could go check it out at preview (why not?).

The only thing I seem to be worried about is sharing a bathroom with the whole hallway. It just bothers me! Hopefully I'll get used to it..

That would be room #1, so you should be on the ground floor. I don't think any of the 4 ground floors at broward has a partner section(girls on one side , guys on the other). Also girls and guys never share the same bathroom, even though you sometimes have guys gf's using the bathrooms.

Anyone have any idea what the first floor of Tolbert is like or just Tolbert in general? Also, I'm rooming with a sophomore in the band (I'm an incoming freshman), any thoughts on how that will be/affect me?

The cmmounity bathroom thing is a big change (especially for an only child) but you get used to it. There are gonna be clean, dirty, and really dirty people. Its college and you have to deal with. I mean its not like your living in the bathroom. If you hate it just use it as fast as possible then get out.

I believe so. Isn't everyone staying in Broward, though? That's where they put us last summer for this high school honors thing, and they tell you which room when you get there.

bleh, asked today and I have a temporary triple. Anyone know how long it can take to be detripled? And is this an uncomfortable living situation...

Detripling (most, if not all) can happen from sept to dec. There is also the option not to detriple if you and your roommates decide that you like each other. Yes is can be uncomfortable because temp triples are usually given double size rooms, which where meant for two people. So you end up having to share 2 closets and 2 desk among 3 people.

question. for preview, we find out our dorm rooms for orientation at registration?
[/quote]

You should find out when you get to broward. Rooms are on a first come first serve basis. So if you are the first guy there then you will probably get room 1 and the next three guys behind you will be your roommates for the night.

It all depends. if you are the first and last persons in line you gonna get a triple (i was last) and the single is kinda in the middle and some unlucky person is gonna get it and it feels like asolitary confinement room.
