Does anyone know how the housing lottery works for upperclassmen? My question is, if the student wants to stay in the SAME room (like in Towers) do they need to do the lottery? Can they keep their room?

My son kept his room in Towers III. I'd call the housing office to see how it works, but we paid the $$$ early (and please don't tell me it's time for the 09-10 deposit!) and they requested the same room somehow. The other group they hung out with freshman year did the same thing, I think. They all are on the same floor again this year.

The 09-10 Housing application for current students is indeed now available. We have until January 30 to put in the deposit though.

"The deadline for current on-campus residents to apply for housing starting in Fall 2009 is 5:00pm on Friday, January 30, 2009. Students returning to campus may live in the Nike and Hercules apartments or the Towers at Knights Plaza apartments. All other space is reserved for incoming freshmen. Please note that there will be a lottery for the spaces in the Nike and Hercules apartments as we generally receive more applications than spaces. The lottery will NOT be first come, first serve. More details regarding the lottery will be available in January."

I'm in tower III. Do you know how to request your same room? My one of my roommates and I would like to do that too.

Gonna have to get on S and see if he's staying on-campus. I hope so. But it partially depends on his roommates, too. Great ... more money. Tis the season .... :)
