Family Recommendation/EN Questions

Hello!
I had two questions regarding my application to the University of Rochester:

One, I have already submitted all required portions of my application to the University of Rochester by December 1st, including the REMS supplement. Is it worth sending a family recommendation now to supplement my application?

Second, I realized that I had applied regular decision instead of early notification to the University of Rochester. Will that hurt my application to the University of Rochester and/or REMS?

Thank you in advance!

Also, will I not be in the running for merit scholarships by applying regular decision?

You will still be in the running for merit award consideration if apply RD.

I seem to remember Tyler mentioning something that those who apply before Dec 1 can be considered for EN. You might consider contacting the school to see if you can be switched to that pile.

Thanks! I might consider that.

Probably too late to switch to EN now.

Poster called the Admission office on 1/3/2012 about switching to EN and was told it’s too late now to switch…

It is worth sending a family recommondation, at least I submitted it and got accpted last year.
