<p>What is the best type of fan for the freshman dorms? Can you put a fan in the window? Does it need to be a certain size? Are floor standing fans any good or do they take up too much space?</p>
<p>A light box fan that will fit in the window. Last year Ace Hardware had some good ones (Made in the USA) that were really cheap (esp. if you buy it LATE in summer)</p>
<p>I’d also recommend a small desktop oscillating fan to help keep the air moving around (or on you directly if it is quite hot and muggy). If each roommate brings a little “personal” fan, it can make for a lot better circulation in the room.</p>
