I sure hope my roommate is really cool. Any cool stories?

Fantasizing... fantasizing...

hmm...hm....

okay, it wa ssuppose to be a joke, how 'bout.. pondering curiously in a non-sexual way?

"curiousity" always has a sexual undertone

"Fantasizing" is not the word I would've chosen, but to each his own. :) I liked my roommate from freshman year. We were never buddy-buddy, but we got along well, which is what you need to live with someone else. On the outside, we seemed alike, but when we really got to know each other, we were quite different. I learned a lot (in a good way!) from living with my roommate.

However, it's my duty to warn you - no one survives college without at least one Roommate from the Bowels of Hell story. :D

when do we find out?
im excited to know my room, roommate and all that jazz.

Aug 1st it will be mailed to you and available on NYUHome in the housing forms.

oh, it is online! i wasn't sure. this is spectacular, as i hate waiting for things in the mail.

Sweet, well, shades_children, did you ever hang out with your roommate since you weren't buddy buddy or you guys just did what you guys needed to do, kind of got out of each other's hair?

Hah, Conan O'Brien, who spoke at my graduation, said something about roommates: "Everyone has a weird roommate. If you don't have a weird roommate, then you're the weird roommate." Some food for thought haha.

lol. Gotta love redheads.

LimeButterfly, we never hung out. We just weren't buddy-buddy. However, my roommates in London and my roommate from last semester, we got along great. We went out to eat and went places together. So it just depends on what sort of relationship you and your roomie have.

Conan O'Brien is a true genius. I just hope my roommate is cool and we can trust each other. We'll know in a few days. :)

Got my room info today...live in LI though, day early mail out I guess...6 people...9th floor...3rd north...wanted U-Hall...not sure whether to change or not...huh. Any thoughts?

Changing isn't easy and isn't possible to even try until Sept.

Yes, I read the details...just wondering whether to or not when the time comes.

Speaking of which, where was it on this forum, looking for roommates, that sort of thing?
