i guess im smart 3/700 kids
pretty amazing gpa and ec.
everything going for me except my SATs.

well i took them twice...scores weren't so great. 1900ish

today i took them again and had many good practice tests before hand.
2100-2250ish

but ...i ended up with a really bad proctor ...like she gave us 20 min for 25 min sections..

&& 15 min for essay!! =[

and that screwed me up... i think i did bad... especially on my critical reading... which is my weak point...

so my concern is... should i cancel my test scores and take the november sats? because if i dont cancel them and mostly likely not like my test scores ... it will be hard b/c that would make it 4 times.. on my record...pretty bad...so im thinking cancel these and keep it 2 sats...and beast on the SATs in nov... and SAT IIs in dec..

ehh good idea?

btw. i want to go to columbia or yale badly.

Are you exaggerating to not look so bad?
Cause you are seriously not too intelligent if you didn't file a complaint or do something about that bad proctor + if it was that bad, wouldn't the other kids taking the SAT in that room have complained?, resulting in an investigation by the collegeboard?

i knew this would be a problem; people wouldn't believe... but she really did... she kept time with 2 watches... one on her cell phone and one in the room which was ahead... and so that messed up..

im going to file a complaint..
but i'm still debating canceling the whole test.. a lot depends on it..

I had a similar situation. My proctor only gave us 20 min. for the essay portion, and I was the only one who spoke up- with a few other people who chimed in. Yet, the proctor refuses to acknowledge that he was wrong- and the rest of the class was either apathetic or were too afraid to speak up. Nonetheless, it resulted in my basically ruining my essay- from a 10 to an 8 most likely.

That's one thing I hate about the SAT; the proctors don't always know the rules. Sometimes you ask them a question and they are like: "I don't really know, but it would be best not to [insert action] just to stay on the safe side." They are getting paid so they ought to know all the rules to their job if questioned.

And if they gave me less time than was allotted, I would be really frustrated. You need to file a complaint!

mmm... well i guess im glad my proctor was very efficient and responsible. Our school is pretty well organized at giving the exam, i guess not all schools are the same.
