Fast Web Scholarships

Has anyone had any success with the various scholarship fundss named by FastWeb?

oh my gosh yes i have won a number of scholarships through fastweb.
just to name a few--lowe's, elks national foundation most valuable student, sam walton community scholarship (wal mart), and the washington crossing foundation scholarship, which was probably the most meaningful for me.
if you have any questions, let me know!!

My son won a Best Buy scholarship. The app process was easy and seemed to fit his profile (grades as well as community service.)

yeah ive won a bunch of essay contests off of there and still waiting to here back from some. greaaat site. but look for local ones...those are easier to get.

Yes, it's a very good site, especially for small scholarships with a very narrow focus - 'Bulgarians in Maine planning to major in Biology at a school in a Western state'-type things, that you would not hear about otherwise. It's possible to put together quite an attractive scholarship package just by seeking out all of these type ones you are especially qualified for, not even considering all the more general ones on there.

Absolutely! Most of the scholarships I won were from my FastWeb account. However, it's also a good idea to sign up for other scholarship accounts and compare results. Another favorite--google word-specific searches (i.e. first generation high school senior scholarships).

great site, and there are others! Even if you don't win the big prize, many of the scholarships have awards at the local or state level that can certainly help out!
