faster submit of SIR = first choice of classes?

Is it true that the earlier you submit your SIR to UCLA, the more priority you get in choosing your classes first?

What are the privileges/benefits, if any, of submitting SIR as early as possible?

As far as I know there is no benefit. You register for all your fall quarter classes during the summer at orientation. So there is a big benefit to attending an early orientation session (like during July instead of Aug.). Some one already posted the dates for the 11 summer orientation sessions. You can sign up early June I think.

Don’t they have enrollment caps during the earlier sessions?

if you want the best enrollment time, pick the EARLiest freshman orientation cuz u sign up for classes there, the day of freshman orientation signups, camp out on your computer

Submitting SIR has nothing to do with priority for anything.

There are no benefits to submitting it early other than knowing you’re headed to a great school, sooner :)

No advantage whatsoever. One pro for keeping SIR closer to deadline is: if your gpa falls, or you end up getting a D or something, some colleges may be more forgiving than others. Of course, given that you are in the driver’s seat after worrying for college admissions for months, let the colleges wait for you for a few more weeks.
