Fat Envelope vs. Skinny Envelope (SCEA)

Yeah, I know that with the internet, many students can instantly find out whether they've been accepted to Yale or not the moment the decisions are sent out. But I opt to wait for the snail mail and wonder if there is any difference between an acceptance letter or a rejection letter based on the envelope alone (specifically for Yale's Single Choice Early Action).

Thanks!

D's SCEA acceptance letter came in a large envelope, along with a poster and a Yale pennant.

how do you find out on line?

^^^

On decision day, usually around 5 PM eastern time, you can log on to your Eli account and if you're accepted you'll see Handsome Dan and hear music playing. :)

^ That's so cool!!! Ugh but I have to get accepted first :/

Ah man....the butterflies

Just thinking about this makes me feel like throwing up... AHH.

Thanks!

maybe i will just click the link and close my eyes then..then if i hear music its great and if i don't..well it might be less devastating then reading it immediately haha

hmmm

i really just wish i could find out before 5 pm! 9am would be so much lovelier. West Coasters have it a bit better i guess.

if i could get accepted that would be the happiest moment of my life to date.

what happens if you're rejected? do you get a skinny envelope?

@ kleagles

I am actually gonna do the exact same thing. Reading "Rejected" will not be fun, so I'll just turn up my speakers and if I hear music I'll go crazy. If not, I'll close the window and forget what was already expected.

My stomach feels so queasy. I've finished everything for Yale and I am so giddy!

And is Dec. 15th the date Yale sends out decisions online or the day they mail it out? When can we expect to get the snail mail version?

A month and a half...eek.
