Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus/Calculus or Statistics? If I forgot anything, just post it in your comment.

Personally, my favorite was Algebra. It was always easy for me. It clicked in my mind, and I could/can do any algebraic problem that you could give me. I liked Algebra II better because it was more challenging than Algebra I.

I like every math where we get to use a graphing calculator (Algebra 2/Trig, Pre-Calc). I just waste class time figuring out what equations make cool pictures on the graph :)

It’s hard to choose a favorite. Everytime I’m in a new math class I think that it’s my favorite. But I’d probably say that Geometry is my favorite. Or maybe Algebra II. I’m in Pre-Calculus right now and I like that too.

Calculus, because I do have a physics mindset… Math competitions at this level just are more fun and the conceptual feel is internalized more than learning to master all the algebraic tricks done in a Pre-Calculus competition.

Algebra 2/Trig was the most fun, especially the trigonometry part (And especially the trigonometric identities stuff). Calculus will probably be very fun as well. In terms of concepts, my favorite subject is Topology (Which I probably won’t take for 4-5 years), though I am becoming more interested in taking subjects like Abstract Algebra.

Stats may end up being my favorite, but it’s only been like 2 days so.

Most fun: Calculus AB! I whine/d so much about that class, but ughhh. Best math class I’ve taken since elementary school, when all we did for math was eat pie for pi day. And learn how to round. And multiply fractions. Gorgeous life was gorgeous. Least fun: Algebra + Algebra 2 + Precal? (All three of these are pretty much the same thing under a different name so) F’d (that censor qq) up my life: Geometry

Topology, manifold theory, and differentiable geometry are where I get interested. Perhaps because they have so much overarching astrophysical and cosmic modeling potential.

StatsStatsStatsStatsStatsStats. So much love. I love the interdisciplinary element of it - math, writing, and other fields such as medicine, psychology, industry, etc.

ALSO ADDING: logic. Not sure if this really counts as a math class, but at my school the Logic and Set Theory class counts as a math course…

Calc AB was great and I loved parts of BC. I hated most of geometry and found most of precalc and algebra II to be unnecessary.
