There's A Hot Pot City In Berkeley?

La Val's on Northside.

Smart Alec's/Blondies primarily.

Cafe Intermezzo
The sandwiches I've had have been really good. The tossed salad with poppy seed dressing is delicious, and the portions they give are huge for the price!

Gypsy's
Good pasta & good calzones!

Cancun Taqueria
Cafe Intermezzo
Steve's Korean Barbecue
Top Dog
La Cascada

Also, That Middle Eastern Restaurant Next to the Ghetto Is Really Good, But The Name Escapes Me.

1. Crossroads.

Others that can't come close to comparing, but try:

THE CHEESE BOARD COOPERATIVE!!!

Liason and Adagia are great.

La Cascada>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>La Burrita

Cha Am's (Shattuck) - great Thai food

Barney's (on Shattuck) - oh, my, so good.

Saul's (on Shattuck).

Viceroy (on University). Viceroy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Naan'Curry

Many already named, although I'm not that big of a fan of the Middle Eastern place on Durrant, at least if it's the place I'm thinking about. shrug

Almost every place I've mentioned is on Shattuck (and on Northside), perhaps one of the tastiest streets in miles???

Adagia is for old people.

No one here eats at Smart Alec's?!

Adagia is for old people.

It's for those with good taste. It's not even expensive (compared to restaraunts of similar quality- it is compared to Yokohama's one dollar noodles). :)

Smart Alecs is good, but eh shrug.

no no no, drab

Adagia is definetly for old people.

I live right next to it. I look outside my window, and there it is. For the last month, I've only seen old people in there and I look into it quite frequently.

where's steve's korean BBQ?

gomnaru sucks balls

DRab, what are your favorite places around Berkeley? I know you posted months ago, in moving I lost the list...

Asian Ghetto enough said.

I eat so much there that I never bother to explore other restaurants.

Just because it is used by old people does not mean that it is for old people or that only old people can use it. The old people are merely an accidental property, not an essential property, of the place.

Favorite places? Someone should pull up the thread. I named many already.

Are there any good Mexican restaurants around campus?

La Cascada is good, as is Cafe Durrant.

Second that, Cafe Durant is GREAT!

Bongo Burger and the Patio are good.

Smart Alec's is alright. For Mexican, try Mario's La Fiesta on Haste and Telegraph. Pretty good. House of Curry is awesome as well. And I hate Bongo Burger.

And I hope DRab is joking about Crossroads.
