Faxing in documents before application is downloaded?

Hey guys!

I'm applying to Stanford RD and I submitted my Common App on 11/26, but Stanford did not download my application until 12/18 (most likely because I did not submit my supplement or pay my application fee until 12/16).

The issue I'm having is that after I submitted my application but before they downloaded it, I faxed in two supplementary documents: an extra letter of recommendation and a letter to update my app regarding an important award I received. Since my application wasn't downloaded yet, I'm assuming I did not have a file, so were these two documents just thrown away, or are they put aside somewhere and filed after all the applications are submitted?

I am totally willing to submit both documents again if that is necessary to get them into my file, as both are very important. Thanks in advance to anybody that can answer this for me!

Oh, snap. I also had my extra letter of recommendation, my transcript, and my guidance counselor rec&form sent in already, but my app hasn’t been downloaded yet!

To make it worse, I don’t believe my guidance counselor rec/form has my common app ID number on it. She sent it in on paper. ■■■

I’m pretty sure it’s fine. My thought is that once they receive something for a given applicant’s name, they’ll file it away. They wouldn’t just delete someone’s documents like that. I’ve already had the optional letter faxed over plus the first Counselor form was submitted via Common App.

Hmmm. Maybe this is an un-answerable question and I’ll just have to wait and call the Admissions Office in January. Has anybody has experience with this issue?
