I am going to be attending FBLA Nationals. How good does FBLA Nationals look for top business schools such as Wharton, Emory, NYU Stern, UMich, etc.? Is it an application changer?

Also, how difference is ranking at nationals from attending nationals?

Thanks in advance!

bump, all help is appreciated!

Attendance doesn’t say much. The DECA counterpart (ICDC) is happening right now, and honestly I can tell you it’s not a noteworthy acchievement to be merely “attending.” there are plenty of people who come as voting delegates, state officers, etc.

By attending nationals, I am implying that I got second place for my event and have qualified to make it to nationals. In fact, my school is paying $1500 for my all expense trip to nationals. Does this help?

For business colleges, it depends on your event, what is yours?

State is pretty good, but national award is way better (of course).

As for college application, you will need more than just those FBLA awards

Top 2 State awards (1-10, with 10 being the best… In my opinion)
Emory-8
NYU stern7
U mich 7
U penn Wharton 5

But it also depends on you event (like accounting and Econ are much harder…)

I will be going to national too. :D

I am going for Business Ethics. What are those numbers next to the schools?

Anyone else have other opinions?
