How do colleges view FBLA and DECA?

If my passion is business, how much will being top 5 in international/national DECA and FBLA contests help?

I realize that it's kind of impossible to say with any certainty, but is winning top 5 at an international or national competition in these clubs impressive? I heard that it's not very impressive on here because of how many events there are; however, getting a top 5 finish in FBLA means being in the top 99.967% percentile of competitors in your event if you do the math. So is it somewhat impressive to adcoms?

Yes it’s fine. Anything can look good if you’re passionate about it.

Yeah its helpful. Not a sure shoo-in at any top colleges (maybe state) but it definitely matters and helps show your passions

It can definitely help! I won 1st place at DECA’s international competition my senior year and I still have it on my resume as a sophomore in college, because employers for internships are also impressed by that stuff!
