I've started two semester on a certain major. But I ended up failing horribly which lead me to getting financial aid for simply one more semester. First semester, I withdrew from one class and managed to get an C, D and F which dropped my gpa of 3.0 all the way to a 1.0!! I never seen such a drastic change before. This semester, I managed to get an C, B+, an A and one F. I did significantly better but still couldn't seem to meet the requirement of getting the gpa of 2.0. I met with my academic advisor and she pointed out to me that maybe my intended major isn't for me since it is proving too big of challenge to me. Granted, I agreed with her. I now plan to change my major but will that be a big enough reason to appeal for one more semester?

As long as your most recent semester GPA was above 2.0, you might be allowed to continue on academic probation while your cumulative GPA is below a 2.0. Depends on the school’s policies.

It doesn’t sound like you’re really ready for college. Stop wasting FA money. Get a job, grow up, choose an appropriate major, and then return to school.

What do you mean by “appeal”? Has the school actually told you that you are on academic suspension or academic probation yet? You should communicate directly with them to see if your financial aid is being withdrawn automatically or if you are being given another chance first before you ask this question.
