I’m terrified right now that I might get rescinded from UCSC. My cumulative GPA was a 3.2 unweighted and a 3.6 weighted, but for my 2nd semester senior year grades I’m really not doing well at all. It’s a mixture of senioritis (the worst excuse, I know) and having way too much on my plate with 3 AP classes and a handful of intense leadership roles. I called the admissions office and was told that 4 or more C’s would potentially lead to my admissions being revoked. I’m looking at 3 C’s in the best possible case and maybe even getting a D in the worst possible case. Is a D an immediate cause for being rescinded? What do I do if I do end up getting 4 C’s or a D?
Rule of Thumb: No D’s or F’s and maintain your Weighted GPA at 3.0 or above. If you get the 4 C’s or a D, then you need to notify admissions to see if you can work out something.
