Hi! I’m planning to go to UCSC but I haven’t been able to maintain my 3.89-ish unweighted overall GPA as required in the conditions of acceptance policy. I have not gotten a D or lower in any of my classes ever. This year is the first time I have ever gotten a C at school. Two Cs in fact on my first semester of my senior year and this second semester seems to be heading down that same road…Because I have never gotten a C before senior year and I have 2 per semester now clearly shows that I have not exactly maintain my level of work. However, I am taking all IB classes and the classes I am getting a C in are IB physics SL and IB math HL which is the hardest math my school can offer. Also,my overall GPA is around 3.80-ish unweighted despite how bad I did last semester. Do you think UCSC will rescind me or no? Should I call the admissions office and ask?
Your provisional admission contract should state a 3.0 unweighted, no D’s or F’s unless this has changed this year. You should be fine as long as your C’s remain C’s or higher.
