Feb. 15-CALS Rolling

...because when i called the admissions rep that i met this fall that's what she told me

Hm...um...I logged into my cornell account, just to see, and instead of the check your status, it said check your decision.

I'm still in shock/disbelief....I really wasn't expecting them to have it up so soon.

Dear _______,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Cornell University! We are very pleased to be welcoming you to the new freshman class.

This electronic message is not your official acceptance notification. You should be receiving an official acceptance letter from us in the mail shortly.

In the meantime, we want you to know that we are excited at the prospect of your joining the Cornell community and know that you will make a very positive contribution to the university as a future Cornellian. Please let us know if we can assist you in any way.

Best regards,

Doris Davis
Associate Provost
Admissions and Enrollment
Cornell University

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What major did you apply for? Stats?

Thanks!

biology, CALS :)

SAT: 800 M, 780 V
SATII: 790 Writing, 790 Math IIC, 720 (heh) Bio E

I think what really helped is that I have a NIH internship through a special program in my county b/c my why cornell essay was certainly um...not the best and also b/c I didn't get interviewed (most of my friends who did apply to CALS got one).

Still in shock...perhaps until I actually recieve the hard copy letter.

Way to go! I can only hope to see you next year :)

oh wow now I am really anxious about finding out.

Congratulations, Janeeyre!! :) Anybody else find out?

Wow.. if they look at my application after yours, janeeyre, I'd automatically get rejected. Great stats and congrats!

I'm really hoping I find out soon....

has your midyear report been received by them yet? Because mine hasn't...does that mean they won't look at mine? blah!

same situation here

yeah, same here. the thing is mine's gonna be sent out on after march 5th (end of my school's second trimester) so I have no hope of hearing before April I guess

Yeah same here but I applied to ILR. I hope they start giving out decisions too.

I know I won't hear from them now.. but it's still nerve wrecking lol

applied ILR btw

Congrats Jane! I'm doing bio @ CALS too, but I was ED

Thanks Spanks, Fish, and Cornell2009Hotelie! :) Feel free to aim me :).

Congrats janeeyre! Is Cornell one of your top choices?
btw, was your mid-year report received by the time you got your decision?

I'm very glad to get into Cornell; my list was rather top heavy so I had many top choices.
BTW, did you aim me? Someone else had the same question.
I'm not really sure about that. I had checked my app status a few days ago, and they hadn't said that they'd recieved it yet. My school did send the midyear sometime last week, so it may have gotten there. So yea, I really don't know lol.

lol, that was me. And I jsut foudn out that the Valedictorian got accepted from my school, and I don't think his mid-year report was in.

Are they only telling the top students that they were accepted now? lol... a valedictorian and a 1580 got in so far RD. At this rate I'll hear back from them April 1st (april fool's day) with a message saying "YOU GOT IN!!!.... NOT!"

well the valedictorian had 1330 SATs but is .. well... 1st in his class, lol, applied to Ag School, lives in New York, and sent his app in many about 2 months before the deadline.
