So what do we know about this rolling admissions process? Chances aren't overly likely that we'll hear on February 15th? From past experience, I've seen that it's either the week of Feb. 15th or else it's March 31st... I guess the situation works kinda like a likely letter?

Any thoughts, guys? Has the countdown begun for anyone else?

I was insane right before the ED reply date. I was counting down the seconds all that day in school. Everyone was like SHUT UP! and I just couldn't help it. Thank god I got in or something bad would have happened, haha.

Do we know anything about the rolling admissions process? Are the options either February 15th or March 31st, or will I be checking the site everyday for an update?

Well, last year it semt like a lot of people had heard by the beginning of march but there were many that didn't hear until late march early april.

Hmm...was there a correlation between majors and the reply date? This is just a theory, but since CALS seems to put more emphasis on your intended major, they might break up applications into smaller groups based on that. I don't think early applications would make too much of a difference, since they need your midyear report anyway. It's probably totally random though :) .

In a sort of related question, does Cornell email you when they change your application decision status?

ok if i was deferred ED will i hear earlier than other ppl (like feb 15th) or does it not really matter? i just thought i might be one of the first apps read since they already had mine for ED

omg nooooooo!!! i thought i'd be one of the first apps read since i was deferred! ughh this sucks b/c im like totally obsessed w/cornell even though im prob. not getting in RD

Nice to see you again rpp. Decisions should be available with the online
app check system. I don't think there's a specific time you can expect a decision, that's why they tell you Feb 15-April. Logic tells me that deferrees would hear later, after they look at the RD pool.
