Feb. 20 Experience Case

Hey I'm getting flown out to Case on Mon Feb 20 for the experience Case day. Is anyone else going to be joining me?

Does Case pay for airplane flights? I don't think my parents would let me visit otherwise.

beachman, have you already been accepted? What's with the free tickets?

Yea i was accepted early action and i think if you get some kind of scholarship they'll fly you out to the college. I was pretty pumped about this because i dont think i would have been able to get out there any other way.

what kind of scholarship do you have? did they tell you that you get free tickets only after you signed up for the Experience Case day?

DS was accepted EA with scholarship and has not received a plane ticket

i had a provost special scholarship, and its and optional thing i guess you can do if you want to visit on a case day. Maybe it is just for that scholarship, Im not sure. Hope you guys get one too.

I got Trustee's. How did you come to find out about free tickets? Did they just tell you or did you sign up for a Case day and then they told you, or what?

congrats, i think i'm going either March 24 or 27

They sent me an email like a week ago, and i just had to call in to confirm a date and such.

ohh...maybe its cause I'm not early action?

wait i was EA and i got presidents scholarship and i didnt get an email....i wanna visit case!! should i call or something?

My son is going up Feb. 20--EA, Trustee's scholarship--no plane tkts were offered, it's only a 4 1/2 hour drive for us.

Check out open house days for admitted students:

No tickets here either. Hmmmm.

We signed up for the Feb 20 event and only got an email acknowledging that we had signed up....however we continue to get a blizzard of letters from Case students telling DS why it's such a great school for liberal arts majors

I dont know why i got a special offer, maybe it is because i live too far to drive. I thought everyone got it, sry to disappoint people. It is especially weird because my provost special scholarship was by no means nearly as much as the trustees or presidents.

beachman123, maybe the tickets are because you received the Provost's Special Scholarship.

I guess I'll add diversity as a white male catholic, lol. I thought there were plenty of those. w/e. Yea i figure thats why i got the tickets and such, i just thought other scholarships would get it as well. i guess not.

well, in any event, we'll see you in Cleveland - I already bought the tickets anyway

beachman, what prospective major did you put down on your application? Last year the kids who put down humanities majors were invited for the weekend with free plane tickets wereas the other majors were not, so some such similar case might be in play here (though I am a little surprised if that's true because it was VERY controversial at the time).

Nope, I'm not a humanities major, my major is Chemical Engineering, so I guess that theory is wrong. Anyhow, I'll see you guys in Cleveland as well.
