I recently signed up for the February 20-21 Experience Case Day, and I was wondering what everyone else signed up for. If you are going, are you planning on staying overnight?

I sort of wanted to go to an experience case day that is closer to their spring career fair, just so I can check out what kind of companies recruit there (Might be helpful next summer or whatnot), but that's on February 17th, so that's out of the question. I think I'm going in mid April.

Tentatively, March 25 (I believe it is). I'm hoping to know the financial end of things by then. Can't see visiting a school we can't afford. We've toured there once already, have any of you toured already? Will Experience Case be your first visit? For that reason (already toured) I'm wondering if Experience Case is necessary. Any thoughts or opinions? ($$ for hotel and travel, etc.)

We are going in 2 weeks. Already have admission and merit money. I would really like to wait until April, but my D is concerned that if she gets more acceptances in April, it could be a chaotic rush.
Anyhow, the airfares are far cheaper now, so we are all set. Have not looked into hotels yet, but that is not going to be a problem in Feb.

mominin, this will be my first visit there. Hoping to get a good first impression.

We are going to decide soon if we should go back or not. I just wonder since we have toured, if this is a necc expense. Jediknight, we really liked the campus when we visited (people just reached out to us, made us feel "at home") although you are going to have MUCH colder weather than we did in June...hope that doesn't put a bad color on your day.

When my daughter decided to go to Case, she decided not to visit during one of the welcome days. She already had decided that it was her first choice and thought that going to a special program "just for incoming freshman" might just turn her off!

Case had a great summer orientation with activities for the parents so we really don't feel like we missed out on anything. I think that alot of the materials they hand out are already online. My husband had not even seen the campus before her summer orientation because he was unable to come when she visited as a hs junior. He was very happy with what he saw at summer orientation so it wasn't an issue.

If you have any question as to whether she would be happy there, then visit, but if she already knows that it is a good fit, I don't think the Welcome days visit is necessary.

In the last post when I was talking about Welcome days, I actually meant Experience Case days...My daughter is a freshman at Case studying biomedical engineering. If you have questions, just ask

Thank you kosha, you have answered my question :)

We toured last summer and really got a great feeling as well. Like I said above, very nice people there and also we loved the look/feel of the campus. As a parent, I thought it was great that the kids had access to all the transportation for free, simply by showing their student IDs.

I was hoping that since we visited last summer we wouldn't need to again this winter ($$). You mention that there is a nice program in summer and that is great to know. We really hope this is "the school" but sadly won't know until all the financial offers are laid out. Right now (even with their generous grant money) it is a stretch.

My son applied to 6 schools and Case is definitely in the top 2. Can't wait until April when all this indecision is over. Thanks again!
