Who is taking the Feb. ACT?

I am… Hoping to improve my score… alot… :)

Same here, slnich!

Meee tooo. Haha. How do you think you’ll do?

unfortunately my score was a load of crap…22 without prep…sigh pray for me! lol

Well, I am hoping for a miracle… But, i haven’t really done a whole lot of prep… I know my scores won’t improve if I don’t prep. Thinking that maybe I should just break down and do something… It is just so boring, I would rather be doing sooo many other things… Like watching paint dry on a wall for example… Well maybe not… idk

I am…I just want a 1 or 2 point increase. Let’s hope this is an easy test! Does anyone know how hard the Feb. test usually is or is it unexpected?

I am. I’d rather want a harder test and a better curve than a easy test and a terrible curve.

I would very much enjoy a 3 to 5 point increase. How big of an increase did you guys have from your sophomore to junior ACT’s? If you did that of course.

I’ve only taken a few practice test and I keep getting 28s. I’m hoping for something in the 30s. Or I’ll be sad.

I don’t think that you can ever really predict what tests are “easy” and which ones are “hard”… They are this way but, I have never taken the ACT ad thought WOW this test was a whole lot harder than a differnt one… jmo… As far as a large score increase… ^^ it sadly didn’t happen for me… :(

Generally speaking, there isn’t much difference among tests, so the rumor of the February test being “easier” than tests offered at different times of the year is just that: a rumor.

Furthermore, the idea the test being curved is also untrue. It is true there are minor adjustments made to keep scores standardized. Still, if you were to get to consistently get the same raw score on different test dates, your score would not change more than +/- 1 point.

If doing test prep on your own is painful, consider studying with a friend or a group of friends so they can hold you accountable. If that is not an option, try to see if you can find a tutor. He or she will be able to keep you on task, and offer you tips to help you increase your score.

I am. First Time. Any Tips?

Me I’m going to take it for the first time and I haven’t studied (no study material too)

Time… That is the big thing… You have to learn to work accurate and VERY quick!!

Last time without practice for me netted a 33… near perfect scores in all categories but reading which I got a 25 in… I need to bump it up to like a 30 at least…

I took practice test 4 from the red book and got 36 on math. I took one from 1296 book and got a 30 on math. Which one should I trust?! The one from the red book is apparently one from April 2009. Will the test be much harder after 3 years?

^Which one is the official guide -_-

The Real ACT Prep Guide (Red Book)… Good Luck…

I’m really worried because on test #3 I got like a 29-30. I believe in gradual improvement, but a 6 point jump doesn’t feel very real.
