**February 8 ACT Thread**

All ACT writing prompts are “relevant” to high-school students.

That actually wasn’t that bad! I’m hoping for a 32+ so I don’t need to take the SAT! :D

S2 is taking it right now. He is only 12, so this one does not really count. No prep other than suggestions from older siblings. S1 got a 23 in 7th grade and improved to a 34 on his ‘real’ one. No prep there either. It just covers topics that most 7th graders have not had yet.

How does everyone think they did?

I think I did very well on math and english. Probably low 30’s or high 20’s on reading. Science…ehhh. Did you guys have that problem with the system of equations? I think it was last.

My D took the December test and did not really need to take this one, but it was paid for so she took it. She says the English and reading were easier than December, the science was " regular," and the math was much much harder ( her math score was a 34 in December). Everybody walked out saying the math was hard.

I’m pretty sure one question had a typo. Writing section, the one about the garden plants, there was no “and” in any of the answer choices, and I believe there should have been.

you are right I remember the answer I chose being the most right one yet needing an and.

Writing as in english? I didn’t have that one. I had one about the liberty bell, some architectural lady, and some kind of bird. Can’t remember one about garden plants.

does anyone remember the “such as:(names of 2(I think this is important) plays(I forgot))” was the answer no change, “such as,”, or "such as "

I thought math and science were hard, but english and reading were really easy… idk

What do you guys think the curve will be like?

Hopefully lenient on science and math. English and reading will most likely be harsh as usual.

I think it was “such as” but I thought about the “such as,” choice for a while. That’s the problem I was least sure about on English.

what did you guys get for the last question on math with like all those rectangles?

to the question about the typo, I now remember and I chose the same choice you did haha. I overlooked it at the time but now that I think about it, it’s kinda ironic because it is a grammar test.

@niketennis123 do you remember the rest of the question?

pretty sure i said “such as” with no commas.

Really hope there’s a decent curve on science. Over thought a question and ended up rushing on the rest, had to guess on 5+.

I said such as with a colon since it listed 2 things
