<p>random question. is having a totaly family income of around 17K, enough to get a fee waiver, as I heard it isn't used that often?</p>

<p>17k should be well under their limits. i don't have specific numbers, but if the cutoff for getting grants instead of loans is 50-60k, i imagine there's no way they'd hose you on app fees.</p>
