Does every1 normally get it when they request one?

If you meet the requirements, yes. You can either apply for a fee waiver directly on the Yale Supplement, or have your guidance counselor certify your need for fee waiver and have them send in the NACAC form on your behalf.

See: [FAQs for Application Fee Waiver Form](http://www.nacacnet.org/studentinfo/feewaiver/Pages/default.aspx)

“If you wish to request a fee waiver, please provide the following information when you fill out the Yale Supplement: the combined annual income of your family in U.S. dollars, the number of dependents listed for tax purposes by your parents, and a brief statement of additional circumstances that should be considered in a review of your request.”

What are the requirements for Yale? That’s what I am wondering.

I don’t know Yale’s requirements, but I imagine if you received a fee waiver for your SAT/ACT tests or AP tests, you would also qualify for a fee waiver for the Yale application fee. The quickest way to find an answer is to call Yale Admissions at (203) 432-9300. You could call, or you could have your guidance counselor call.

It was easier than I thought it would be. The app said something about attaching an explanation, but even though I forgot to do that, my request was pretty promptly approved.

I don’t think Yale gave it much thought at all. Application fees aren’t really where they get much of their dough.

Thanks!

I have the same question for Williams College. Does any1 have any information? Williams and Yale seem to be the only 2 places where I can request one through the common app supp.

Once again, the quickest AND most accurate way to get that kind of information is to call Williams’ Admissions Office and directly ask them.

I tried calling williams lol. They didnt answer.

Yale already gave me their response. They basically said I would get it.

Did Williams College ever answer you? We’re trying to figure out if the Williams fee waiver they offer on the common app site is in addition to the NACAC written waivers we’ve received. Thx. so much. :Dani
