Fee Waiver

I submitted by application. Does pitt offer a fee waiver? Can I ask my guidance counselor to send in a letter indicating fin hardship or should I send my tax documents? Should I try to obtain a college board waiver or should I call teh admissions office first.

My friend got a letter in the mail offering her a fee waiver, but it was based on academics, not need. I'd suggest just calling the admissions office and asking if they offer a fee waiver for students with demonstrated need, and how to go about obtaining it. I'm sure they'll work something out for you. Good luck!

Your GC ought to be able to help with this. NACAC has a form s/he can fill out. http://www.nacacnet.org/NR/rdonlyres/E4854E2B-0B9A-4244-90E5-14058FC3798E/0/form_feewaiver.pdf

My son just got an application fee waiver this week. Will apply this late be out of contention of any of the big scholarships.?

Leungpy1, as long as Pitt gets the application by January 15th, your son will be eligible for all the merit scholarships, including the Chancellor's. I am pretty sure about this.

Thank you very much. Good to know the possibility for the Chancellor's.
