Feeling Kinda Terrible...

Finally got my AP Scores back today. My Junior and Sophomore year of high school I got:
4’s on Psych and US History
3’s on English Lang and World History.
However my Senior year AP Scores were absolutely terrible and it’s too late to cancel them before my college sees. I feel pretty terrible, and was wondering how this might hurt me while in college.
I got a 1 on Computer Science
2 on Bio
3’s on Gov. and English Lit.
Does anyone have any insight on how this might make me look to my academic advisor in college? Will he/she think I’m an absolute idiot?

At this point you’re already accepted to a university, so all it means is whether you get college credits or not. If you need to take the first Biology class again, it’s no big deal, even kids with 4s and 5s take the class over again. I doubt if anyone other than yourself will look at your high school scores anymore.

What might be more important for you personally might be to figure out why you got the scores that you got and figure out why to do (or not to do) in the future. Because it’s very likely the tests in college will be (much) harder than what was on the AP.

You’re off to college in the fall. Done and done with A.P.
My son’s experience was that colleges were only aware of the A.P. scores he sent to them. Someone else can correct me if I’m wrong. (no doubts there)

I disagree about figuring out why your scores weren’t great. You are obviously the type who is going to beat yourself up anyway - no need to harp on this one. Maybe the teacher didn’t teach a true A.P. class, maybe you had some seniorities and were having more fun that studying (I hope so), or maybe you had a bad day. Who cares? It’s over. Move on, enjoy your summer, and give yourself a pat on the back for being human.

Depending on what college you are going to, even the 3’s can get you college credit. As for why your scores didn’t meet your expectations - maybe your class wasn’t taught well or didn’t cover the right materials, maybe you didn’t study the right stuff or study enough or maybe computer science is just not your forte. Whatever the reason, don’t let it ruin your summer. Resolve to study better/harder at college and enjoy yourself.

You cannot undo what had happened, I guess the only thing left is to accept the result. Learn from it, and of course don’t expect too much since you will only be disappointed when you failed to meet it.
